ALLAN BORESS – MARKETING LESSONS FROM BERNIE
Allan Boress, although he focuses on his own CPA practice right now more than consulting, always has fantastic, no-nonsense ideas and words of wisdom.
His book, I Hate Marketing for CPAs was one of the first books on CPA marketing I ever read. It was published in a workbook format by the AICPA (I think) and our firm worked through it as a series of lunch and learns many, many years ago. His follow-up, I Hate Selling is still in print and available.
He does a blog on practice development on AccountingWeb. His recent post comparing the skills of con artists (such as Bernard Madoff) and CPAs will make you smile and has some excellent points. Click here – it’s a quick read.
