YOUR WEBSITE AND YOUR BRAND
More ideas, thoughts and observations just to give you something to think about as you plan your “summer of website.”
The website project will give you the chance to entirely re-brand your firm. Think modern, clean lines and information that can benefit the visitor.
For the last several years, many firms have shortened their names, using initials or one or two words. However, I still meet team members from many firms across the country that have 3, 4 and even 5 names in the firm name. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I made up this example: Brennan, Sullivan, Doyle, O’Malley & Ryan. How would you like to answer the phone at such a firm? I guess you could sing it.
Here’s a good real-life example of re-branding. I heard from Brenda Luskie yesterday. Brenda is the Director of Administrative Services at what used to be known as Weaver and Tidwell.. I noticed in her signature line that the firm is now weaver (one word, all small letters and a new symbol). Note, this firm went from two name to one. Read their press release here.
I visited the Weaver website to check out the new name and logo. What greeted me? Information that was helpful: Be cautious of e-mails that appear to be from the IRS, FBAR Filing Provisions Require Immediate Attention and, my favorite, Weaver Launches A Renewable and Clean Energy Source Blog.
Irish Blessing: May the Good Lord take a liking to you… but not too soon!
