FEEDBACK

Give it.  Get it!

I have heard it called “the breakfast of champions,” feedback, that is.

As leaders in a CPA firm, you should be giving it daily – every chance you get.  Practice your MBWA and give feedback verbally.  Ask:  ”Is there anything you need from me? Can I help in any way?”

Team members aren’t the only ones who NEED feedback.  I am talking with several firms about their upward feedback projects right now.  Leaders need feedback from their teams and I hope that in your firm they are able to give it to you verbally and not have to be guaranteed confidentiality as a crutch to being open and honest.
