Almost all firms I come in contact with use Excel for staff scheduling.

The simple fact is that it is a tool that works well for the CPA environment. Even the larger firms that use another software solution to schedule often use Excel in some preliminary phase of the scheduling process.

After networking with hundreds of CPA Firm Administrators, Chief Operating Officers and HR Directors last week, I find that most of the larger firms use Prostaff. The 2nd most talked about solution is StaffTrack. Thought you would like to know.

However, I also find that, like most things in a CPA firm, it is only as good as the information that is entered. Imagine that!
