I am so fortunate to work with so many wonderful CPA firms and the dedicated people associated with them.  One shining example is Fluence, a rapidly growing firm in Portland, Oregon.

Strange name, you ask?  Yes, the name of the firm has not always been Fluence.  For many years it had a very traditional CPA firm name, Bogumil, Holzgang & Harris, P.C.  While the name did represent the owners, it didn’t exactly flow off your tongue and at times it was difficult for new clients to even remember.

It was a time of change, the older managing partner had stepped down and a new era, with a young, female Managing Principal and a young, professional administrative principal, had commenced.  Their old, template, extremely boring website and brand would no longer do.  They are a very young firm – almost everyone under the age of 40 and many under the age of 30.  As I mentioned, a new era.

The firm sought the assistance of Kinesis, a Portland Web Design, Graphic Design & Marketing Firm, and specifically Shawn Busse, Founding Partner of Kinesis.

The principals biggest challenge was determining a new name for the firm. They decided on something very unique and something that would speak to their strong niche in dental practices, many of them very young dentists just beginning their practices. They chose Fluence.

It was a huge project – changing everything – and it took many months.  If you take a look at their website, explore the pages and admire the wonderful design and photography, I think you will agree that the journey was worth it.  The feedback from clients and prospects has been overwhelmingly positive.  It’s a new day for Fluence!

Is it time for a new day for your firm?
